Rigid Flex Applications

The combination of rigid flex has two main functional applications. These are static (curved installation) and dynamic (continuous bending during the service life of the product). Rigid Flex Materials

Conductor

Copper is the most widely used conductor used to build flexible and rigid flex conductors. Copper is available in a variety of thicknesses to meet customer requirements for current carrying capacity and voltage drop. Copper thickness is usually specified in ounces/square foot. The most common thickness is 1/3 ounce (.0005”/12um), ½ ounce (.0007”/15um), 1 ounce (.0014”/35um and 2 oz (.0028”/70um) Conductor options include:
