What is die cut foam?
Die cutting is a technique of stamping foam parts using steel marking tools or “molds” on a machine called a punch. Any two dimensional shape can be configured and cut on multiple types of presses to form die cut foams. For example, the die cutting process can be used to make die cut foam end caps or protective foam packaging.

The clicker press is small and the click frequency is very high.
The hydraulic press has a slower cutting speed, but a larger cutting area.
Rotary die cutting machines use cylindrical molds, which can cut and push out parts at extremely fast speeds.
Shanyo provides foam die cutting services for your unique applications. Many of our presses allow us to perform kiss cutting (this is a technique when using pressure sensitive adhesives) and allow finished parts to be lifted from the anti-stick lining, automatically exposing the adhesive. Our largest printing machine uses mobile head technology, which allows us to use the entire raw material (open and closed holes), thereby eliminating preparation steps and saving time and money.
