What Is Four Legs Tactile Dome Switch ?

The four legs dome switch is a precision elastic component made of stainless steel SUS301/304 with a thickness range of 0.05mm–0.1mm. This metal dome features a unique four-leg support structure that enables reliable switching functionality – when pressed, the center point contacts the PCB circuit to establish conduction, then automatically rebounds using material elasticity when released.

This dome switch is renowned for its maximum operating travel, relatively high actuation force, and crisp audible feedback. The four-leg support structure ensures exceptional stability, with a service life exceeding 1 million cycles. Its working principle is based on the dome center deforming under pressure to contact the PCB circuit, completing the “press-conduct-release-disconnect” switching cycle.
