Q20.Why does the metal dome shrapnel have no function when pressed lightly?
- The reasons why the metal dome has no function when pressed may be as follows:
- Height of travel: The loads and stresses a metal dome is subjected to will also affect its height of travel. Higher loads or stresses may cause the metal dome to deform more, thereby increasing the stroke.
- Aging of the shrapnel: After long-term use, the elasticity of the metal dome may weaken, causing the switch to fail to trigger normally when pressed. Please replace it in time.
- Dirt or debris: Dirt, dust, or debris around the tactile dome may impede the movement of the metal dome and prevent it from functioning properly.
- Assembly Issues: If the metal dome is not installed or secured properly during assembly, it may cause the metal dome to not function properly.
- Design Issues: In some cases, the design of the metal dome may have a flaw that prevents the switch from triggering when tapped.
- Damage or Wear: Overuse or accidental damage can cause the metal dome to become deformed or worn, affecting its functionality.
If you encounter problems with the tactile dome not functioning when pressed, you can try cleaning the area around the metal dome, checking for proper assembly, and replacing the snap dome if necessary. If the problem persists, it is recommended to consult relevant professionals for further inspection and repair.
Q21. What are the raw materials of metal domes:
- Waterproof material: 3M4914. 5908 or add a convex hull for waterproofing.
- Double-layer structure: It is recommended to use double-layer transparent C25+C50 to see if the sticker is offset when applying it.
- DSMS+ double-layer structure: suitable for sticking to silicone. One side of DSMS adhesive is acrylic glue, suitable for sticking to PCB boards, and one side is silicone, suitable for sticking to silicone products.
- LGF+ double-layer structure: LGF has 0.1mm and 0.125mm. Generally, 0.125mm is used more, and there are also thicker specifications according to customer requirements.
- Fpc+double-layer structure.
- Membrane buttons + double-layer structure.
- Membrane buttons: You need to ask the customer whether they need a convex hull and how many colors to print.
